I had used a hometown bank for years and when it closed I was devastated. The sense of "family" I had once had was being replaced with corporations who didn't know me, nor did they want to. I looked around for a new "family" and went away discouraged. Then I visited the staff of Community First in Mt. Vernon and I knew I was home. They didn't hesitate at my questions and strange requests such as a certain age bill when traveling internationally. Not only that, but they were already supporting my granddaughter's school with their giving back debit card program. It's been several months and I've never regretted my move to Community First. We share a common love: people, community and caring for one another. My kind of "family".
